He is an artist who came into the field of photography with sound educational background having obtained a four-year Special Degree in Photography and Cinema from the University of Kelaniya.


He has worked as a Photojournalist at several national newspapers and in the year 2009, he held his maiden solo photography exhibition with a collection of artistic pictures. He also hosted a group photography exhibition in 2010, capturing many different photos of fashions.


He has worked as a director of photography in several short films, music videos, and commercials while engaging as a still photographer in many films and teledrama. Further, he has won many accolades and awards for his photographs at the national and international platforms.


In the year 2012, he started a photography course to share his knowledge of photography with those interested in the field of photography, and also he is a teacher who imparts practical knowledge in the field by engaging his students in his creations.


He has been a professional photographer for over ten years and currently works as a Portrait Photographer and director at the Academy of Photography.

Lahiru, who has followed a general degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution at the University of Kelaniya completed a Master's degree in Mass Communication at the same University.


Meanwhile, he received the National Youth Awards for the Best Feature Article and for the Best Drama Critics. In 2011, he published his first book of poetry, “Pinidiya Wassa”. In 2017, Lahiru published his second poetry “ Kawulu Asa Pamula” and it won the Rajatha Pusthaka Award for the excellent poetry collection of the year and the same was nominated for the State Literary Award and for the National Godage Award.


Lahiru, as a freelance journalist, has written many articles for various national newspapers, and his series of columns titled 'Kalu Samanalaya Saha Piyapatha' written for ‘Aththa’ newspaper has been published as a book through the Godage publications.


He has done two literary works titled ‘Ranmuthu’ and ‘Daga Kubu Chutta’ and he works as a social activist as well.

In 2001, he studied the 'Television Program Production and Video Technology Course' conducted by the National Youth Services Council. He was the highest-scoring student with first class. From 2002 to 2003 he further trained as an Audio-Visual Technician at the Open University of Sri Lanka. There he contributed as a screenwriter and second assistant director to the university's internationally acclaimed educational film 'Anawadhanaya'.


Chamila has worked as an editor for the Sirasa TV and several other television stations and has also worked as an audio and video editor for a number of live television programs.

He started a video production company in 2015, has been designing various video programs for Government and private sector companies. In 2015, video editing and videography courses were launched as another service of the company.


Chamila Iriyagama has been contributing to various TV shows, news, teledramas, music videos, and various video productions for over 17 years. He will also teach and train young people as well as professionals in various professions.

He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Multimedia Arts from the University of the Visual and Performing Arts. He has studied digital illustration, computer graphics, interactive art, and multimedia systems & productions.


He also studied for a Diploma in Photography at the University of Kelaniya in 2016. After completing his diploma course, he turned to photography.


During and after his studies, Supun worked as an assistant photographer in several well-known studios and gained a wealth of experience in wedding photography.


He later started a wedding photography business in 2019 and is currently working as a wedding photographer and graphic designer.
